TriPeaks Solitaire

Shuffling the cards…

How to play TriPeaks Solitaire

TriPeaks is a quick, lively solitaire. Twenty-eight cards are laid out as three overlapping peaks, and your goal is to clear all three by playing cards onto a single waste pile — each one just one higher or one lower than the last. The more cards you play in a row, the more satisfying it gets.

Runs

Playing several cards in a row without touching the stock is called a run, and long runs are the heart of the game. A run can go up and down as it likes — 6, 7, 8, 7, 6 is fine, as long as you use different cards. We show your current run and your best run under the waste pile.

Face up or face down

In the classic game you can't see the face-down cards, so a little luck is involved. If you'd rather plan every move, turn on Show every card face up in Settings. It applies to your next new game.

Tips

Questions

Can every game be won?

Every new and daily game we deal has a way to win, because we check before dealing it. In the classic game you can still lose, though: you can't see the face-down cards, so you won't always find the winning path. With every card face up, a careful player can win them all. (A game number you type in yourself is dealt exactly as it is.)

Do King and Ace really go together?

Yes. In TriPeaks the ranks wrap around, so an Ace counts as one higher than a King and a King as one lower than an Ace.

Why can't I go through the stock again?

In TriPeaks the stock is used just once — that's what makes every card you turn count. Undo is unlimited, though, so you can always step back and try a different card.

Is my game saved?

Yes. Your game is saved automatically in this browser, so you can close the page and come back later on the same device.

What is the deal number?

Every deal has a number, and the same number always gives the same cards. Bookmark the page or share the link to play a deal again — or try today's deal, which is the same for everyone.
